Some months ago I tried to build a 5’10 egg similar to Al Merrick’s Biscuit using my beloved EPS / poplar build method. Never uploaded the pics but here they are. Some information about the rails: they’re made out of balsa wood and poplar. The whole board is glassed with 50g/m² glass and epoxy resin. Don’t remember the weight, must be around 3600g. Managed to make a single to double concave on that one.

nice birch ply tail. this was the second board on which i used the birch ply, it protects the tail from dings perfectly.
